On a walk in Pevensey in East Sussex UK, near the castle, we came across this metal wind pump. It pumps water up from the ground for animal feed and to keep the water levels in the farmers fields at a level. It's made out of simple materials like angle iron. I got completely fascinated by not just it's mechanics but by the noise it made. So, I ended up making it bit by bit, every nut and bolt on a computer using a 3D modelling package.
